Will Apple's iPad continue to be the leader in tablets for 2011?

The 2011 Consumer Electronics Show made good on its 2010 promises. Better late than never, right? The delay was good for consumers. Developers were able to track the reaction to the iPad and provide a wide variety of Tablet PCs for every type of user based on the feedback of early adopters.

The result? Well, some analysts predict a major market change is just around the corner.

Will Intel's Light Peak Interface Beat USB?

Intel's new Light Peak interface, introduced as the new standard port, could replace USB in a number of years. Offering transfer rates of 10Gb/s and expandable up to 100 Gb/s over the next decade light peak could revolutionize the way we connect peripheral devices. Not without criticism, however, OEMs point to possible shortcomings and the heavy task of usurping USB in suggesting the switch from copper connections to optics may come later than Intel thinks.
