Rapid cooling and warming of blood vessels in the upper palate of the mouth cause brain freeze, because the cold dilates the blood vessels, causing pain receptors to trigger in that area and send pain signals to your brain.

The current 3D glasses still use red and blue lenses. Simply put, it's harder to see the red and blue in them. I've somehow managed to see red and blue bands if I looked at certain plastics at an angle.
