As NASA Stalls on Mars, China and Russia Test the Waters

As NASA's Mars rover stalls out on Mars, China and Russia proceed with their own plans to undertake a joint mission to Mars. China's space program, rapidly growing over the past several decades, signed an official partnership with Russian Prime Minister Vladamir Putin in 2009. Now, in 2011 they make good on their pact and will launch a Chinese designed satellite into orbit around Mars in late 2011.

Has Presidential policy killed NASA? The future of space flight at NASA is as uncertain as the health of our Discovery space shuttle. Both seem to be fragmenting. NASA technicians can repair the Discovery but will they be able to salvage NASA?

Suffering from disaster, chaos and public disinterest, NASA needed a booster shot in 2004. What they got a was a booster rocket. As the saying goes, "With treatment- symptoms worsen."

BP's Toxic Dispersant Corexit Lingers in the Gulf

So when researcher David Valentine found the chemical still lingering in deep sea waters, it made headlines. Is industry sharing the real truth about oil dispersants with the public? Tom Pollak - Creator of Prey

Prey is a free and open source computer/device tracking software produced by Fork Ltd which was designed to help recover lost or stolen devices. Supported by Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android devices, the only requirement is an internet connection to make the geolocation magic happen.

We were lucky enough to sit down with Fork's CEO Tom Pollak, who also ended up writing the first few lines of Prey. We wanted to know how the project came to fruition and wondered if there was more to come for such a successful software/web production company.

Companies like Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile have teamed up to create a mobile payment network that will allow smart phones to replace credit cards and cash. As Google refines the Android phone to include a chip that pays for items with just a swipe, other devices will follow. Your phone will become a digital wallet, and legal tender as we know it may be a thing of the past.

NASA's Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) is a mission to observe and study gravitational waves originating from source like black holes and galactic binaries. LISA was only made possible by a theoretical consequence of relativity predicted by Einstein. With over 30 years in the making, LISA could launch as early as 2016.

America's largest credit card companies were victims of cyber attacks in response to their refusal to process payments to Wiki Leaks. Some news sources and advocates called this the first real info war. At the heart of it all is a small and curious group of Internet users called Anonymous.

Did Anonymous win the first cyberwar? Was there even a cyberwar? Who are Anonymous?

Video games are a form of entertainment that is prevalent throughout the modern world, commonly carrying a content rating or a possible age restriction. But is this rating system taking censorship too far?

In light of the recently posted blog reviewing the controversial Sonderkommando Revolt (a game set in a Nazi concentration camp), we were quite curious how everyone feels about this topic. How much is too much?

SonderKommando Revolt is a new Wolfenstein 3D game released on January '11. The game is a revenge fantasy that rewrites the historical facts surrounding the SonderKommando Revolt of Auschwitz. Fraught with controversy due to its graphical portrayal of the victims Auschwitz, SonderKommando is a PR nightmare.

Yes it's an extremely violent first-person shooter game, but that's not where the controversy lies. Should these themes be considered off-limits to video game developers, or are revenge fantasies offering a cathartic experience for those affected by the tragedy of the Holocaust?
